Food giveaway in Kensington May 22

Man…..Life in Kensington!

I’m handing out fully cooked chicken and met up with one of my homies….Fonzo, was giving out snacks and sandwiches.

The woman with the Perdue boxes around her was cleaning up my area on her own…moving the empty boxes out of my way and just wanting to talk….

Do what you can…..Where you can….

Providing food for the hungry in January 2022

We pick up donations of food from various places including grocery stores, convenience stores, and churches, then distribute it to individuals and organizations in need.

We are often notified that a large donation of perishable food, such as the boxes of fresh vegetables shown here, is available with short notice, and then we scramble to make sure it does not go to waste.

We work with food pantries, soup kitchens, housing projects, community advocates, and churches to distribute the food we collect to those who need it most.

We also work directly with individuals who need assistance. The prepared foods shown here were given to an elder who has trouble providing for himself after completing a 41 year prison sentence.
